Del
Mar Shores Terrace
The
Community and The Environment
Del Mar Shores
Terrace owners are good, concerned citizens.
About half of our
residents (resident owners and long-term renters) are registered voters in
Solana Beach.
Del Mar Shores
Terrace paid for the construction of the public beach access.
Del Mar Shores
Terrace paid for the construction of both parking lots on the
corners of Del Mar Shores and S. Sierra Avenue, as well as the parking lot
across the street a block down S. Sierra Avenue.
We love the ocean,
the beach, and some of us are surfers.
We strongly advocate sand replenishment to provide beaches and
minimize bluff erosion (click
here for more information).
Del Mar Shores
Terrace paid for the rock rip-rap that protects the point which provides the
beach access and provides one of only three dry summer beaches in Solana
Beach. We also have paid to
reposition the rocks after severe storms move them.
We responded quickly
to the State and City guidelines to reduce water seeping into the
bluff by taking out all of our grass lawn along the bluff, and
replacing it with new landscaping and a new watering system which
minimizes watering.
Del Mar Shores
Terrace is a member of COOSSA, which has accomplished many good things for
the community and the environment (click
